The India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) 2014, held in Mumbai, came to a close last week, leaving fashion connoisseurs as well as Jabong Online Shopping, breathless in awe. The models and celebrity actresses added special chutzpah to the magnificent ramp.
Neha Dhupia and Ankita Shorey sashayed down the ramp, donning intricate pieces from the collection of Gitanjali Gems. Neha looked regal in her heavily embellished bright pink lehenga, with matching rubies and diamonds, followed by a traditional mang ka tikka on her forehead. With beautiful ornate jewels of diamonds and emeralds in her ensemble, and hair decked with fresh white flowers, Ankita was a picture of ethereal grace. Graduates from the Indian Institute of Germs and Jewellery, Mumbai stole the show with their exceptional and innovative creations. Amruti Patki, the show-stopper, modelled a stunning diamond choker/bib with bangles, with luxurious earrings, dressed in a Saakshi creation by Shraddha Vora.Swarovski
The second day of the prestigious Jewellery week saw Swarovski showcase their exquisite collection through the likes of Zarine Khan, Pooja Chopra and Zoya Afroz The collection featured sapphires, topazes, rhodolites, peridots, amethysts, citrines, black spinels, marcasites, zirconia and synthetic stones. Opting for the traditionalism in their collection, the brides went traditional with a South Indian bridal heritage in their traditional line of jewels.DAY3
One of the most regal ladies in tinsel towns, it was only fitting that Sridevi was the stunning show-stopper for Golecha Jewels, on Day 3. She donned a golden lehenga, created by Vikram Phadnis, teamed with a heavy layered diamond necklace, consisting of a square pendant and matching earrings and bracelet. Parineeti Chopra made quite an entrance, for Bridhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers, in a velvet corset and layered tulle lehenga, decked in strands of pearls with a giant pendant, a kada with emerald prongs, floral patterned ring and earrings.
